Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Your amp is clipping. Double check all connec

For best music output wires should not have joints. So Replace the taped wire....
I was also suffering from the same problem for home music system. When I replacing wire everything is works fine....

Hi,i think you should check the wiring connection from the battery to the radio unit,there is probably disconnected wire from the battery which supplies power to the unit,particularly the places you applied the electrical tapes,also ensure to bolt down the radio properly because constant distortion of the radio from its desired position might affect the server unit of the device. However,its a power problem,so ensure you carry out a thorough check on the wiring power connections in your car.
