Wiring a LEVITON-2320 20A 250V NEMA L6-20R Grounding Receptacle
I have a Craftsman 1.5-3.5 HP air compressor i want to hook up which has an L620P plug 15A/240V i have a 30Amp breaker running to an old dryer hookup with: Wire = Anaconda W Dutrax type NM 10/3 with ground (600 V) containing insulated red, black, white wires and bare ground and finally i have a LEVITON-2320 20A 250V NEMA L6-20R Grounding Receptacle with "X" "Y" terminals with brass screws and "G" terminal with "green" copper? screw i assume the red/black go to X&Y terminals does it matter which?, is the G terminal supposed to be White Neutral with ground to outlet box? or No White-neutral and the ground to "G" terminal? Is this setup right for my application?
