Dear gentlemen, I appreciate your expertise. I have recently rewired my trailer and car with a 12 pin plug instead of the round 7 pin plug( To incorporate electric brakes and a back-up camera on the trailer). Since I have a reversing light and squawker on the trailer and there is no reversing wire on the Mazda Tribute I have attempted to run an extra wire tapping the orange/yellow wire on the left-hand side rear reversing light to pin 2 on the 12 pin socket on the car 12 pin socket. I have a squawker on the car also connected to this as a safety feature because I visit schools with the trailer. There are two wires on the car reversing light and the reversing lights on the car work just fine. One wire is Org /Yel : this is hot (c.11 v); the other is Blk/Pnk and is at 0 volts when the car is in Reverse. Both are hot in Park. How do I connect the wire to trailer pin 2 and the reversing squawker so that the reversing lights do not flash and the lights and squawker operate only when the vehicle is in reverse?
