With my Scanfront 220, when I hit the send button to send the scanned document I get aa notice saying "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it" , then 10061
I've tried turning off the machine, unplugging power and network cord, and then restarting, but no change. I haven't changed any settings or setup.

I'd check your Firewall settings on the computer. Is it set to listen to and accept href="https://files.canon-europe.com/files/soft03-48846/Manual/ScanFront_220_User_Manual_EN.pdf" target="_blank">https://files.canon-europe.com/files/soft03-48846/Manual/ScanFront_220_User_Manual_EN.pdf .
Less likely, you should also check the read/write permissions for the destination drive on the destination computer. For some scanning situations, you need to have a monitoring software running to "hear" the send request.
