The thermoswitch is the temperature-adjustable thermostat under the temp-dial knob. Ask a friendly electrician to check it for you. It's not likely that your local electrical stockist will have an exact match, as they'd have to keep a warehouse full of spares for different makes/models. In short, if something's blown, chuck the iron.
