Thanks for getting back to us. It is most likely that the shredder cutters are jammed. Unplug from mains, and lift off top and place upside down. Use a small screwdriver and/or long nosed pliers to poke at any compressed paper wrapped around the blades - can take a while. It may be that the sensors are dirty - use a cotton bud dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the sensor light(s) and heads Give a quick spray to cutters with WD40 Replace - turn on - and run in reverse. Run shredder once a day in reverse for 15 seconds to clear cutters Empty wastebasket when bin full indicator light is illuminated If all else fails, contact the makerThanks for getting back to us. What do you mean? Does it not start up at all? Or does it start and hum, or do nothing?
...and the motor does work when the selector is set to "reverse"
