Have you checked to see if it is firing or not. Could be the switch is turned off or sometimes they just short out. Take out the spark plug and attach the plug wire to it now ground the plug to a paint free spot on the engine. Now pull the rope and watch the plug to see if it is firing. If not disconnect the kill wire from the switch and try it again to see if it is firing. Some times it is the simple things.
