Well, I am going to assume that you have checked that you have spark -- and if you do have spark to the spark plug and the unit is not starting, then I would say that you have a fuel issue,, when gas sits for a long time it breaks down and is not good anymore. plus when gas sits in the carburetor and dries out, it can leave rust and other debris inside the carb jet and you will not have good fuel flow to the motor. so the first thing to do is to drain all the gas from the tank and start with a new oil/fuel mix,,, try and start it then -- if it still will not start then it would be a good idea to remove the carb and use a parts cleaner/carb cleaner and spray it out real good,, re-install and try and start again. the next thing to look for is a crack in the fuel line iteslf ,, it could have dried out and split and is allowing air to enter the line ( I have seen this crack in or around the fuel tanks several times,, so inspect line in and out ). you might also look at the spark plug and see if it is clean and in good shape -- if it is not good then replace it with a new one.
