Won't go into Bios or display anything
I switched out the motherboard on a socket 478 computer with a 3.2 ghz chip and hooked everything back up and turned it on and the standby light comes on and both fans, but no picture or bios setup. Any ideas, I tried to jump the cmos, but that did nothing. The board is different than the original, but it supports the p4 chip up to 3.2 and the hard is good, but the darn thing will not start up to get the computer and peripherals talking again.

Hi kwilson709, you sound like you know what you’re doing. Did you hear any beeps when you first started up the system?
Your must use the Intel (Northwood) CPU on the AOpen AX4SG-UN.
Make sure the 4-pin 12V. ATX Power Connector is seated & locked, same with the 20pin ATX main power connector. When you clear the cmos jumper, pg 24 in your manual. Remove the battery & check its voltage for 3 volts, if it reads anything less replace the battery.
If your graphics card is an add on & not integrated on to the motherboard, remove & blow out the slot with canned air & clean the contacts with a couple drops of alcohol on a cotton swab or to & reseat. Do the same for your memory. If the graphics card has dual VGA out puts check both for possible display. Make sure the monitor works.
(One never knows). Try one DIMM if you are running two DIMM's or more. If all of the above fail, it’s suggested that you remove the motherboard from the case & lay it on a table with a piece of cardboard under the motherboard. Hook up your power supply, graphics card (If you’re using one), memory (One DIMM & hard drive, mouse & keyboard. Once everything is connected short the two pins for power on with the tip of a pen to start up the system. Check for display. Still no display? (Only if you have one), try a lower MHz compatible CPU. Other than what’s mentioned above I'd say it’s the motherboard. (Testing the motherboard out side of the case is used to eliminate a possible case issue).
