At the moment I am looking for the problem in m,y Tefal. The biggest problem seems to be sorting out how to pull it apart. I have sfound that the whole carriage must be pulled out the back of the toaster. About 10 T10 screws to be removed from the base then there are are a couple more philips screws to remove after the back is off, then the handles that you press down to allow the bread to drop mus t be released. There are plastic pieces that hold in the metal tip on the handles. They are located inside the body and are accessewd from the slot that the handle moves in. I haven't yet located the release clips for the high lift handles. Once I have found them I may be able to access the mechanisms. If this doesn't help enough then please ask for more information as I shall have found my way inside by then billypil
