Won't turn on :(
I LOVE this grinder, but after only two years, the start button isn't working. For the last month, it worked intermittently. I would have to press the button several times with different amounts of pressure, and it would eventually kick on and work perfectly. It has now stopped working all together, though. It sure seems as if the power button just isn't connecting - and it seems a shame to buy a new one. Any advice for an adventurous, but not very experienced, problem solver? :)

It sounds like you know nothing about elecrical stuff so safety first, take it to a repair shop. If you have no experience with this sort work you can easily kill yourself or burn your house down; poor electrical work causes many house fires, so take it to the repair shop
Ring the supplier it may be a common problem or an easy fix. If no luck there take it to a repairman, preferably at a Bodum Bistro repair shop.
If the switch is unavailable, they may be able remove it and see if another switch can be substituted or added.
The worst case would be short switch out and the grinder will be on all the time now and you can turn it on and off at the wall socket or fit an in line switch to the power cord.
Ask for an estimate as it may be cheaper or at least more practical to replace it.
If you try to do it yourself you may electrocute yourself or burn your house down, so do some overtime and use the money to pay for an expert repairer or a new one.
