Won't turn on...hear the beep, and screen works
My 305 has been intermittent. When press the power button, I can hear the power-up chime. The back light also works. But nothing shows on the screen. Today after a 30min tempo run (without my 305!), I came home to find the machine was working fine -- satellite received and on. But, this afternoon, it wouldn't turn on, again, with the same symptoms. I have tried mode/reset and power with no avail, as well as touching the bottom right of the screen and powering up. Nothing. The 305 is only 1.5 years old.

Exact same problem for me on the exact same day (2-sep) as well - freaky! Unit was out of battery and I charged it but that was the last time I managed to get it working - charging it now to see if it makes any diff. Actually with mine I hear the beep and the initial splash screen shows for about 1 sec and then that's it - it seems to go off again. I think it's something to do with the battery as it seems to work when connected to the charger - not a whole lot of good to me!
