Check crank position sensor or immobiliser system as you have not spark at the right time. Immobiliser may be a battery problem in the key unit. Have the codes read
Did the bike fire at all when you sprayed starting fluid? If so you have a gas supply issue. Make sure supply line into carb is OK, and maybe you need to take carb apart and make sure the jet passageways are clear. If it did not fire after spraying starting fluid, then you have a spark issue. Either new coil, CDI box or it could be a weak battery as well. By the way, be very easy on using Ether/starting fluid on the bike. Too much of that and you can detonate you engine pretty easily. I would squirt a bit of gas in the carb and stay away from the starting fluid.
