Working but not working???
Well, yesterday my router was working fine, and then today, it took a dump. The power is on, and when I plug it into the WAN, the corresponding light turns on, and when I plug the PC into it, the corresponding light for that turns on. But, on the PC (Windows XP Sp3) it says that the network has limited or no connectivity, no matter which port I plug the PC into, this problem still persists. Also, whenever I try connecting a wireless device, such as another PC (windows xp sp3) with a wireless card, it wont find the network, and the little light that corresponds with the wireless, doesn't light up. Even with a different wireless card, or with my Xbox360 wireless adapter. Also when I hardwire the xbox to the modem, it won't connect. I've tried pressing the "reset" button on the back, but that doesn't do anything, and when I try to go the "http://192.etc.etc" site, it wont connect through a switch, and it REALLY won't even try to connect when I am plugged directly into the USR5461. It's not my ISP, because I can connect to the internet through either just straight from the PC to the modem, or from the PC to a switch to the modem. The reason I want this router back, is because of it's wireless networking, mainly. But if anyone can help me and let me know what is causing all of this, and what I can do to fix it, I would appreciate it much. Thanks.

Most entry level wifi routers need to restarted ocassionally...it oftentimes hang. Sometimes even with an IP address from the router it won't connect to the internet due to it's tendency to hang... I put an AC timer and set it to switch it off and on regularly. hope this helps..and pls come back for the feedback. Thanks!
Check the DNS address with your ISP. They do change it when the traffic load increases and the service provider has to increase more users. It will not affect the modem because if you do not have a static IP but a dynamic one the modem reboots till it catches the the setting of your ISP automatically(loopback)......................sodeep
