WYSE 3235 thin client needs bios flashed
I have a terminal that won't boot past checking for the mouse and keyboard. I moved the terminal to another location using known good peripherals and it does the same thing. There is a procedure to flash a unit from a working machine but I can't remember how and not sure if it will work since the bad box won't boot.

Holding down the 'G' key while turning the thin client should perform a factory reset. If that doesn't work there is a program called NETXFER that will flash the winterm. You need a PC with a crossover cable or a hub(not a switch) to use the program.

The easiest way to would be to take apart the machine so that the motherboard is exposed. Once you do, you will see a small, circular watch-like battery. Remove this for about 15-30 seconds. By doing so, it will perform a hard restart when the BIOS memory is cleared and you will have your original factory settings. If this does not work, consider the ports/card for the peripherals. Perhaps it is a hardware problem.
Yah but how to do you clear the darn passwords out??? That's the real reason we are here. Most people like me have bought these things at a second had computer store and the knuckleheads put AS-IS on the thing and sell em for 20 bucks!! Can't you help with this?
