Xante CL30 Fatal Error 127 Code
Xante Tech support had me run a certain diagnostic procedure, beginning with holding down the keys 0-1-6-7 as you turn the printer on, the scrolling through menu items until you come to "fan3". Once here you press select and raise the printer cover. If the fuser fan is OK, it will be running at that time. In my case, the fan was running, so they ruled that out as the problem.
They then concluded that the printer needed a "Engine Board Replacement" Xante shipped me that part and I had a Xante technician 80 miles away come here and put it in. Once the new board was in place, the Fatal Error 127 returned again the first time we tried to print two 11x17 color documents.
Xante now says I have to ship this printer back to their factory for further testing, that there is nothing else than can be done in the field.
A typical way the 127 error occurs is, for example, you send two 11x17 full color pages to print. Things look normal and the first sheet prints. But when it comes time to print the second page, the printer will have started to print; it will have advanced the paper from the lower tray and stops its journey just before going in under the first imaging drum. (which in the case of this printer, is the black drum and black toner. After that would be the yellow, then the magenta, then the cyan; that's the order under which the paper travels in this XanteCL30HSE).
Once you reboot the printer, first thing you'll have to do is open the side door and there's the sheet of paper which you can pull back and then withdraw from the printer, clearing the jam. But it seems odd to me, that once I see the Fatal Error 127, the paper will always be in this position, just ready, it seems, to have begun it's travel under the 4 image drums and toners, respectively.
As shipping this back is a major ordeal (down a spiral staircase, requires a freight company shipping, down have the right box, etc. etc. I would just like to try about anything first.

Fuser Unit Fan Error
When an error has been detected in the fuser cooling fan.
How thick is the paper that you are pushing through the machine? This unit is basicly an oki c9500 with a different print engine. This so called "heavy stock conversion" is simply a new board and drivers that slow the machine down and increase the heat of the fuser. Lets face it, if the engines were designed to handle 330 gsm then Oki would be advertising heavy stock themselves ! It's not the answer that your after but I'd strongly recommend returning the unit to have it fixed. If the fan is still running and your getting the error it means the heat sensor on the fuser is detecting overheat, which means the cooling is not adequet. Make sure the vents to the machine a clear from obstructions and if you want to test, get a room fan and sit near the air vents as a temp measure until the unit is repaired properly. The service procedure is probably to upgrade the fan unit.
Go to the MAINTENANCE MENU on the front panel of the printer and select EEPROM RESET “EXECUTE This will set the Xante CL-30 back to factory default settings
I'm not convinced it will solve your problem, the temp sensor may be not be located in the fuser, i'm not sure with this model.
Just a thought, but if the fan has 3 wires coming from it instead of 2, there may be a speed sensor in the fan that is faulty.
Hi I am Vortash a few years ago I used to work for Rank Xerox copiers the lasers that we worked on then had been far less sophisticated than today's .. however we found that most of our customers problems steamed from what replacement cartridges they used ( ie: genuine replacement )
On the end of the toner cartridge you will no doubt be aware that they have two electrical contacts , if these are not precisely aligned and well fitting the intermittent connection used to throw up all manor of faults never the same ones twice in some case's and it was all to do with not fitting the manufactures toner cartridges .. the replacements where 1.5 mm shorter to accommodate other machines and the Rank copiers didn't like them hence error faults .. it is just a suggestion but I wondered if this all started after you replaced your toner cartridges .. I've been in touch with Xante, who say code 127 is to do with the fuser unit cooling fan, which can be found inside the lid of the printer and sits right above the fuser. A trained technician is needed to replace this; I'm trying to source one now, as many can't get Xante parts.
Apparently if the fan is replaced and the problem reoccurs, then there may be a problem with the engine control PWB in the printer.
It wont cost you much.

Fan cost £47.00, engineer to fit it should be £60.00. I will attempt to find the exact part number for you.
Beware, our the fuser unit will be damaged if you try printing too much whilst this error was coming up, and hence you will have to buy a new one at a cost of £190!
