Xbox Live connection problem
Have just replaced my Netgear router with a Zyxel NBG334W router. And it works fine with computers and other equipment. But my XBOX 360 seems not be able to find it when scanning the network. I have been checked the box XBOX live in bandwidth managment.Should I reinstall my old Netgear WGT624 again?

Before doing any of that complex stuff, you might want to check the ZyXel manual and look for UPNP (Universal Plug and Play) in the rear index of the book. Make sure UPNP is ENABLED.
Also, make sure the xbox ethernet cable is plugged into the xbox and the router directly and that you don't have any other switches or hubs in between the xbox and the ZyXel router. If you do, they could possibly block packets known as broadcast requests, which the router needs to see before it can give your XBOX an IP address.
Finally, make sure your xbox is configured to receive an IP address AUTOMATICALLY ... someone may have set it to a static (manual) IP address when you had your old router for whatever reason. The xbox web site has really nice instructions on how to do that.

Hi,
In this regard, I would recommend you to forward certain port no’s on
the Router.
Port numbers: UDP- 88, TCP/UDP- 3074
It is in this context, I would suggest you to please try with the
following troubleshooting steps:
A) Assign static IP and DNS address to the XBOX.
1. Assign IP address as: 192.168.1.50; Subnet mask as: 255.255.255.0
and Default Gateway as: 192.168.1.1
2. Assign Primary DNS Address as: 192.168.1.1 and Secondary DNS
Address as: 4.2.2.2
# Please Contact X-Box Technical Support to assign the Static IP
Address on Your X-Box.
C) Open the ports on the Router using the following steps:
1. Click on Port Forwarding under Advanced.
2. Click on ‘Port Forwarding’ on the left hand column on the screen.
3. On the bottom of the screen, click on ‘Add Custom Service’.
4. Give a name to the service (for example, XBOX1).
5. Select Service Type as UDP and key in the starting port and ending
port as 88.
6. In the Server IP Address specify 192.168.1.50
7. Hit ‘Apply’.
8. Click on 'Wan Setup' Under 'Advanced'.
9. Check the box 'DMZ Server'. Type in the IP Address 192.168.1.50.
Click On 'Apply'.
10. Log Out of the Router Page.
Please repeat Steps 3 – 7 to configure the ports “UDP/TCP 3074”.
