Yaesu FT-26 I got a Yaesu FT-26 that is used. The Problem by it is that its frequence between 140.000 and 148.000, i cant get lower or higher than, I cant even send or recieve anything!!! even when i press the pedal, the green light doesnt light on... I tried to reset the frequence by attaching the jumpers 1,5,7 and 8 but nothing happen. I would like to know if someone can help me ??? Thank you

Hi there, old thread!
My ft-26 suffered from these simptoms too.
No tx, no rx, only 144-148mhz tunable.
Fault was caused by C1007 that leaked and corroded the pcb around it. The 4.8V line that fed the PLL was interrupted. Another small MLCC was also corroded and replaced with a new one. I put 1uF MLCC and a 100uF 16V electrolitic. The trace was repaired with thin copper wire.
Check 4.8V reaches the PLL. Depending on damage, PLL shield might need to be removed for further inspection.
Mind the BNC plug when dissasembling!
Hope this helps!

I've tried this and it's not working for my radio at least.
I did the soldering straps : 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 (strap 9 and 10 are also soldered from before)
Turned it on holding D/MR + T + REV for full reset (or T + REV for partial reset)
Then turned off and back on holding both MT and MHz to open up the freq range.
Turned off againand back on holding RPT/SET to set the ARS range, but it only give me 1 and 2
CH.1 135.000 Press [D/MR] Lower Rx limit
CH.2 174.000 Press [D/MR] Upper Rx limit
So I can't set
CH.3 135.000 Press [D/MR] Lower Tx limit
CH.4 174.000 Press [D/MR] Upper Tx limit
No idea why realy.
Some sites suggest remove solder on jumper pad 10, and not soldering jumper nr 5, as far as I can tell this is wrong.
But I'm not entirely sure.
I've tried either way and none work, but without jumper 5 I couldn't enter TX RX setting by holding RPT/SET and turning on.
Any suggestions out there?
Same problem for me also blocking on the tape amateur 144/148 MHz not of emission nor of green reception led does not ignite malgres the modifs. Have a solution thank you
