Yes, I did make sure that I set my CMOS setting to check for a CD disk first before booting straight to the hard drive. What happens is that it identifies the CD, then it reads data on the CD, after which it writes STARTING WINDOWS. It then gives me the opportunity to select F8. It is after selecting F8 that it tells me that Setup did not find a HARD DRIVE. Hope this information would help you zero - in on the assitance that I need? Thanks
