You don't mention if you're stalled there or it starts up again with no problem. I've had this happen when the alternator failed. The battery can supply enough juice for only so long... If you can check the voltage across the +- posts of the battery while it's running. Should be around 14.7 volts. Power off the car and check the battery. Should be 13.2volts approx. If these are good then there are many possiblities. If you immediately shift the car to neutral can it be started while the car is in motion? Possibly a defective starter switch. Any suggestion I give is only a guess as diagnostic troubleshooting would have to be done.
