Have a Zvox 580 purchased 11 months ago. Put unit into storage (short term~ 30 days or so) and mistakenly left batteries in the factory supplied remote (2xAAA). After "un-storing" my Zvox (and subsequently replacing the remote batteries, which were not corroded or otherwise damaged, btw), my zvox will no longer respond to any remote command with the exception of "power on." Have also tried to program other remotes in accordance with the user manual, with ZERO success in EVERY instance. I suspect the IR rx is faulty.. to a degree. As stated though, it will power on w the remote.. Please HELP! List following is what i've tried: New batteries- Unit will power on but not off. New remote (comcast, directv, samsung tv)- Unit will power on but not off. Unplugged Zvox and discharged amp - unit will power on but not off Removed remote batteries and let sit for 30 min. (pressed buttons to discharge any remaining current) - unit will power on but not off. Set personal camera in black and white mode to actually view the remote IR function- remote 'appears' to function normally- i.e. has seperate and unique IR output function for each button pressed. I'm not a dummy, though I feel like one. I have tried every trick my little B.S. in E.E. brain can think of and I've fallen short. (Up to and including an educated google search, lol) Please help! ~justin
