My ASKO 1805 Dishwasher started to smell weird and white smoke came from it. I turned it off, but after I turned it on again it just keeps pumping water in and out, I can't get in contact with it (None of the indicator lights are working and it is not reacting to any commands) In addition the safety feauture that is supposed to stop all operation the moment the door is opened is no longer working. (i.e. even with the door open it is still pumping water) Does it sound like an expensive repair? (i.e. Am I better off with a new Dishwasher - this one is anyway a few years old)

My Asko 1805 model is exhibiting the following issues: 1) The door appears to have some kind of module located on the inside behind a round plate at the top, left hand side of the door. There is a continuous noise emanating from this area as long as the power is on. This noise was not there before. 2) At the end of a normal wash, there seems to be a clear, soapy film deposited on the items. The only way to get rid of this film is to run a "Rinse" cycle after the regular wash cycle
