Handle Easy 321RC Remote conrol - Tips for writing user manuals

Hi - can you tell me please which buttons(s) I should press on both my TV sky remote and the Handle Easy ? The Manual simply says press "desired button" on equipment and Handle Easy but how do we know what that is meant to be? I have tried everything, ie pressing the Sky channel button corresponding to the Channel Button on the handle easy, I've tried the TV button, but nothing works - all I get is one double flash once, but cannot program anything further, and it doesnt work in any case. It is a complete frustration and waste of money in my opinion!! Please prove me wrong! thanks
