I have a 1988 chevy truck and it will not start now, i shorted out the starter and it burned the negative cable wire so i unhooked it and replaced the starter solenoid and replaced the egnition module, roater bug, and distributer cap but the truck still wont start i need help. Hello, I have a 1984 chevy silverado 4x4 with duell tanks, my switch to select either tank seems to work fine, but my fuel gauge needle goe up and down while driveing sometime all the way to the right way past full almost at the 3:00 clock spot, then it will slowley go back and jump around, does any one know what I need to change. Thanks Jack

I drove the truck into the shed. It sat for a week. went to start it just cranked, no fire. If I would hold the peddle to the floor it would fire,kick the starter out and die. Would not fire unless peddle was to the floor, then very rich and die. The truck has a new fuel pump, It's getting gas, I thought it was the ignition mod or the pickup coil so I put in a new distributor, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. Same thing no fire unless the peddle is to the floor. Timing is at 0. The only code is 42 cuz I had the advance wire unplugged to check timing.Now the battery is dead. I'm stumped

I have a 94 chevrolet 2500. with a 305 gasoline engine. It runs about 100 degress all the time. is that right? Also when I pull my camper ( it weights 7500lb) the temputure goes up to aoubt 250. if I go up a mountain it overheats and shuts down on me. t that i just started plowing with. During my first time out i was pushing snow down a steep hill in 4H. half way down the hill the truck slowed to a stop and now there is no power to the wheels. Clutch seems fine but cannot stall the engine. 2H is the same but when i try to drive in 4L the truck will slightly budge but wont move more than an inch. when i shoveled the truck out it rolled down the hill so the i dont believe the wheel are locked but it is possible that it slid and didn't roll. Any thoughts?
