Okay, this is the third time I've typed this out. Bought a Diamond Capture Card for my son. We installed the Diamond disk drivers and other components per the "Quick Start" guide. He is trying capture videos from his Xbox 360 to post on YouTube. Diamond disk seemed to install properly. The one touch button however does not work, the light just stays red all the time. Connected Diamond one touch to the output on his TV using the RCA one (not the Svideo since that is an input connection on his TV. Then connected those cords to the one touch thing and connected via USB to his computer. The screen comes up fine on his computer so we hit record through there. The thing at the bottom said it was recording however there is nothing there when you hit the play button and when I open the "My Videos" file it is supposed to store it in it indicates "This folder is empty." What am I missing?
First use this Videotest.exe file to check your capture card is working fine it will also check webcams.
You could try to capture the video using Avert Lee's excellent VirtualDub it will capture in AVI format (audio video interleave) and can encode in DivX or XVid both MPG4 formats which is perfect for Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube.
I have been usign this for years check me out on facebook @ DivX RoX for extra downloads and help
