I have a 1517 Cub Cadet and it is stalling and backfiring on me. It starts just fine and runs about 20 minutes and then it starts to sputter and stall and backfire. I bypassed the starter solenoid by pulling the electric wire thinking it would hold the plunger down and keep the fuel line open. Is the solenoid my problem? Can it overheat and cause my stalling?I also had someone open the solenoid up and he pulled a rubber thing on the end of the plunger so to keep the fuel flowing. Nothing has helped so far and any suggestion you have would be greatly appreciated. Chris
