I am having a similar probelm with my LCX-25C. When I am on the water, all of a sudden the unit thinks it is in 0.9 ft. of water and locks up. This especially happens in shallower water (less than 20ft). When that happens the ticking sound coming from the transducer stops and the graph stops scrolling. If I wait a while (10 minutes), the unit starts to work again. Then it happens over and over. I took it to a local fish electronics shop. They bench tested it and said it is reading bottom fine. I replaced the transducer and it still was hapenning. I called Lowrance this winter and they said it sounds like something internally wrong with the unit. It also loses bottom at high speeds. I told Lowrance they can't just do a simple bench test, otherwise they will get the same result the local shop did. Well they tested it for 4 days and did not find anything wrong with it so they are sending it back and charging me $60 for nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? I have heard about a lot of similar problems with the LCX-25C and LCX-27C
