I have an 89 ford ranger that i have had to put two A4ld tranys into. I have no passing gear and an odd plug, help!!!! when the frist was installed by a transmission shop starts with an a and ends with co (heads up for anyone)they said that there was a plug that they had to change that goes into the top of the trany well that trany went out and i myself have put in another one and found the plug and it didnt fit into the new trany, i found the plug that does go at a junk yard on a bronko 2 the problem is now my wiring harness has 3 wires and the right plug has only 2 the only matching color is red. I think it might be the 3-4 shifter because the passing gear will not kick in and the over all power is just not there anymore, what do i do to fix this plug or what wires should i connect to the new plug? is one of them an enternal ground that can be grounded elsewhere? help please!!!!
