I have been using a Radeon X1650 Series (This is all my computer will tell me about it and I can't find the packaging or install disc) Video Card for a few years now but just in the last couple of days it has begun doing some odd things. For example: it will randomly cause my monitor to go blank momentarily and then will restore picture with numerous small dots covering the screen. When this happens it will occasionally go blank again and restore normal functioning but will shortly repeat the problem and just today it became completely unresponsive (monitor was completely frozen) and I had to do a manual restart. Do I need to buy a new card (something I've been considering doing anyway) or go back to my onboard video card or what? Thanks. PS I know this is not a problem with my monitor because if I open my monitor menu the problem is not visible thereon.
