Replaced the original battery as it has been damaged by reversing the polarity.New battery is just one of those generic types not very long play time about four hours on max charge.Anyway to cut to the chase it's been fine for about a year, no problems, then the other day I was trying to switch it off and got interrupted so I don't know if I actually switched it off properly. Wasn't bothered though as I know for a fact that this usually brilliant gadget has auto power-off function to save the battery charge. Only now when I plug it in to charge the charge indicator led light is already flashing which is what it is supposed to do when it is fully charged. And to top it all when I unplug it to boot it up it does nothing except for a little whirring or buzzing sound, almost like a mosquito, which I suspect is the harddrive trying to boot, no lights are on or flashing when I do this and the screen does nothing either , just the sound. I've even tried holding the power-off button for ten seconds which is what you are supposed to do when you want to rid the device of static discharge and nothing happens. I'm at my wits end as to what to do??
