I have a gas log fireplace, but can't get the pilot to light

I have a Martin ventless gas log fireplace heater and can't get the pilot light to light. In the past, I've had problems keeping it lit, so I've kept pilot lit all year. The other day I successfully used the heater for the first time in months. When I turned the heater off the pilot went out. Since then I have not been able to get the pilot to relight at all - much less stay on. It acts as though there is no gas at the pilot. I have used canned air duster to try to clear dust from tubes, etc. but no change. Any suggestions?
