I recently had my car broken into and someone tried to steal my system. Thankfully my fiance heard and went out in time and they drove away. They had disconnected some of my wires and we tried to put them back but I think something wasn't hooked up right. While driving one day the bass suddenly got louder and louder until it was one big thud and even after turning down the volume they continued until somehow they suddenly turned off. I thought I may have blown something but I tried to play a cd again on low volume and everything worked fine however I haven't listened to anymore music because I don't want to mess up anything after that incident. So my questions is what could the thud have been? And is there anywhere I can find info on which wires go where? Also I used to have a factory cd player and got a aftermarket one but I still have a line output converter and my system wouldn't work without hooking it up. Do I need that? How can I remove it?
