Windows XP SP3 does not recognize new RAM. I upgraded from 2GB to 6GB. Motherboard is Intel D975XBX. 2 1GB modules are in DIMMs 0 (blue). 2 2GB modules are in DIMMs 1 (black). Windows System Info reads only 3.24 GB of RAM. I have tried other configurations of the modules, following Intel's instructions for their placement carefully. I never get more then the 3.24 GB, even with only the 2 2GB modules installed by themselves (in DIMMs 0). So, those modules are working. RAM of course goes down to 1.9 GB with only the two 1GB modules in. I haven't tried putting in 3 modules--didn't see the point. What can I do to get Windows to recognize the RAM? Gratefully, Steve Olson
