off switch on my Hoover windtunnrl bagless vacuum so i ordered a good deal for two switches in Amazon. Put thr new switch on and after 10 minutes went to turn it off and it wouldn't move like it was stuck. Took it apart and fou f the switch had burned through the plastic on ll cover. Installed thr other new one and same thing, went to turn it off and the this time the seit h was so loose it wouldn't sele t on or off. Removed switch and had it been a minute longer the same exact burning would have occurred. Did I mix up the black and red wires? It's a two prong switch and I put the red one on the inside prong and the black on thr outer prong. Inseore that's how I remembered it being. Would it have turned on I'd wired inorrectly!? Why did both switches do the same thing?
