10 On my 2008 Malibu, about 50% of the time, just after I start the car the "SVC TIRE MONITOR" warning message appears on the info center and the tire icon appears. Most of the time the tire pressure is still indicated correctly on the info center (I have verified the pressure with a tire pressure gauge). Rarely only dashes are shown for the pressure. Other times when I start the car the operation is normal with no warning message or icon. I have had the car to the local Chevy dealer several times to address the problem. After extensive diagnosis and attempts at using the "re-learn" programs and equipment they have, they replaced the receiver that receives signals from the tire pressure monitors, and other functions such as the remote entry. Actually, before this first replacement, signals from the remote entry buttons on the key fob were not being recognized, so I had to use my key to enter the car. After this replacement, everything was fine for awhile, but the problem re-occurred. I understand they replaced the receiver once again. After the second replacement the info center functioned normally for about a month. Then the problem re-occurred. I returned to the dealer's service department. They went through the "re-learn" procedure. Unfortunately when I started the car at the dealership after this service visit, the problem re-occurred. I told them I would drive it for awhile and see what happens. The problem persists today. I believe they are working hard to find a solution at the dealership.. This dealership has just begun servicing Saturn vehicles from a nearby dealership that closed so that has greatly increased their workload. I thought I would do some research before returning to them for more work on the problem. Any help you can give will be appreciated! Out of curiosity, have you had any other questions about this problem?
