We have a Thompson box in the lounge and until recently we had a Technix box in the conservatory. Both gave full coverage and good quality until a few weeks ago, when the Technix box gave very poor quality on all the ITV channels and Channel 4 - the Thompson box is still working perfectly. We replaced the Technix box with a Grundig but this will not pick up Channel 4 at all and no ITV channels except ITV2+1. Thinking it was faulty, we returned it to the store and exchanged it for a Phillips model - but this, too has no reception for Channel 4 and will only get ITV2+1. I could understand if it was the same on all the TV's (I would then assume that for some reason Freeview in my area would not support those missing channels) but how come I can get ALL channels on my Thompson box? Incidently, when I retuned my Thompson box a few weeks ago the channels were all jumbled up and I can't seem to re-organise them, so I have to go through the menu every time - but at least I can still see the ITV channels. I'm loath to retune this box in case I lose ITV! We take our signal from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter, if that makes any difference, and we had a brand new arial system installed about 18 months ago. Any ideas, folks?
