Had to wipe hard drive on my Dell due to a virus and now cannot use my software program to edit my website. I am on Windows XP, have Sprint Ovation U727 Novatel modum. I have tried 3 software programs now, Macromedia Contribute 2, Contribute 3 and FileZilla. All 3 take me all the way through the create connection with no problems until the very end. Then I get verbage such as: "Failed to retrieve directory listing" and "Not connected to any server" I know I am connected as I am using the internet at the time I am doing the create connection. I have disabled blocks to Contribute at the Windows Firewall, but could something in my Sprint modem be blocking the final part of creating the connection? My web administrator and I have spent over a month and countless hours trying to get me access. Macromedia had 5 tech guys tell her it was my server problem as she can access it with no problem. Any ideas? Keep in mind I am old and not a computer geek, so directions and help have to be very simplified and easy to follow! Thanks
