I just purchased a Zoom 4501 3G router from J&R electronics. When I went to assemble it, I followed all the directions provided to a "T", but I'm having a problem. When I go to plug it in, the 3G and Wi-Fi lights both light up, but they flicker for a second, all lights go out, and then only the "wi-fi" light comes back on. I think that what's happening is that it's not registering the internet connection from my card (a Huawei EC228). I checked the manufacturer's website, and my 3G card is compatible with the router with firmware released after January of 2010. I spoke to the place I bought it, and they said that the shipment from Zoom to them came in Dec. of 2010 and that it would have the firmware on it I needed. Now, I know it's possible that I just need to update the firmware, but I've never done so and have NO clue (links to directions would be preferred), plus I'm also wondering if maybe there's something else that could be the problem. Thanks in advance!
