Intermittent stalling Car ran great for years. It has started stalling randomly under all driving conditions. Ran codes : obd1 12,13 showed up. Replaced distributor with remanufactured unit. Car ran normal for days then same problem. When the car dies it will still turn over but will not fire up. If you come back after a while it will start as if nothing is wrong. Took to mechanic he told me the only code he could pull was from the cam sensor in the distributor. He could not get the car to ACT up while he was working on it. He said all wiring and voltages were good, and did a wiggle test. He said if it acted up again to replace distributor with a new one. It acted up I replaced with a new distributor. Car continues to die randomly. It can't be the distributor can it, it does the same thing with three different distributors? can a bad ignitor cause a code 12 and random no fire performance or do they just go OUT? Is there a way to determine or prove if the igniter is bad? Can a bad ignition switch or relay cause a code 12 and random problems. The mechanic I have taken the car to is ase certified and runs the local dealership
