300 4 port serial adapter to communicate over 2-wire RS485 with MTL4841 modules. I cannot get it to work properly. It seems to work over a short distance, but, not longer say greater than 20m. I thought RS485 can run for a couple of thousand feet. I have tried termination, biasing and different cables and nothing seems to work. Can you recommend any resistor values or setting. I can get my system to work with Westermo MD45 RS232 to RS485 convertor - so everything points to the quatech card setup, resistor values for termination, bias etc??? Please can you help, I feel as though I have tried everything but getting no where
