s. For playout I have no problems at all as I use an external mixer, but for recording sets where I need the mic, it gets messy. As mics are mono, recording via the sound card results in voice on either left or right only. To get round this and place the voice in the centre I have to use a stereo mic or a mic splitter. In an attempt to simplify the setup (so I can record sets during overnight stays on the road using just PC and mic) I've invested in a Samson C01U USB microphone. The sound is good, but recording is heavily biased to left channel. The Wave In control supplied needs to be set 90% to the right in order to get a centre signal. The built-in controls on any of the software involved do not seem to allow switching mic to mono. I'm fairly sure OTS and Audacity are recording what is fed, but if I could apply an adequate pan or mono control the problems would be solved. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a resolution?
