Displaying upside down f5 and beeps 5 times. Cleaned piles of lint out of the dryer. Some of which was starting to burn, the wires to the thermristor were melted, fixed those. The thermristor ohm'ed out at 11.3k ohms, not 10 ohms (as per the manual). My question is, I jumped out the thermristor, but I still am geeting this code. I also, verified that the thermristor wires were not shorted to ground or each other. Thanks

Amana electric dryer. NED7200TW t5 error. I pulled out the dryer, unplugged it (4prong thank you) made sure the flexible duct was clear and not kinked, checked the outside vent to make sure it was clear (that part is solid tubing). Took the flexible off the back of the dryer, made sure it was all clear of lint and moisture. Let it air out overnight. Turned it on and tried to clear the error on the key pad. It ran for 30 seconds and then threw the error t5 again. Should I order the #27 thermistor part or also the bracket that goes along with it? what does #28 bracket do? Many thanks from a woman living alone trying to save some money

I had an appliance repair company come out and diagnose the problem with my dryer that stopped drying but still ran. They said it needed a new thermistor but the part was back ordered and would take about a month to get the part. I found the part on line and replaced it myself, the thermistor and thermostat as they sent me both parts when I ordered the thermistor. The dryer is still not drying. Please advise. Thanks. The drum stopped spinning when it was drying a load of towels and will not start again
